Many times when we think of wind energy, the first picture that surfaces is those large windmills out on farm land around the country. Have you ever wondered how they work? They really aren’t hard to understand, it’s just a few blades connected to a shaft that rotates and creates power. Among all the energy that can be generated and renewed, wind energy is the one that has great abundance and is always present. Other energy, like the fossil fuels, will become depleted and may disappear over time and usage, but the wind will always stay.

The earth has been very generous by offering us so many renewable sources of energy for our needs and creating alternative energy in many different forms. All over the world, people have used renewable power in one way or another but often only where mechanical electricity, powered by petroleum was not easily available.
