Probably the most fuel efficient vehicle including Electric Vehicles (EV) is the Mitsubishi-i-MiEV giving 112 mpg (miles per US gallon), and leaving to one side EV is the Toyota Prius Hybrid getting 50 mpg. Normally, whenever we look at the best gas mileage cars, EVs are usually ignored due to the lack of infrastructure, distribution and usage.

A lot of money can be saved by driving a car with great mileage. Dependency on foreign oil means that the price of gas is prone to fluctuate based on supply and demand. Another benefit of driving a greener car is saving the environment; the ozone layer is being slowly depleted by all the gasses our vehicles emit into the atmosphere. Honda has produced an excellent hybrid with the 2010 Insight. This vehicle offers every thing you could want in a hybrid; it’s pretty sporty, good looking, great on gas and best of all affordable. Hybrid cars are becoming more popular the ever due to their eco-friendliness and abilities to obtain excellent gas mileage. The 2010 Insight will compete directly with the popular Toyota Prius. The Insight is a sporty hatchback with five doors and gets a few styling cues from Honda’s FCX Clarity fuel cell auto and its rival the Toyota Prius.
